The book is so thorough that it is being used as a textbook for virtual assistant programs in colleges across the United States and Canada.

If you are wondering exactly what a virtual assistant does or if you are interested in starting, owning, and operating your own VA business, this book is for you. With sections on getting started, planning and operating a business, establishing a website, marketing, and service suggestions, this VA guide covers every subject that would be important to someone in the VA field. It even includes comments and opinions from many different virtual assistants at the end of each section.

Overall, Virtual Assistant- The Series: Become a Highly Successful Sought After VA is a great reference, and I would highly recommend it to aspiring virtual assistants who have a desire to succeed.

Karen Schweitzer - Business Majors Guide - About.com

Virtual Assistant: The Series is a complete reference guide and more for new and experienced Virtual Assistants. Diana Ennen and Kelly Poelker have successfully touched upon all aspects being a Virtual Assistant.

They begin by defining a Virtual Assistant’s role, examine the skills and training required, where an individual may acquire such skills (and give links), what services a VA may provide, and how they may complement a VA practice.

Next, Ennen and Poelker discuss the types of business entities in depth, offering advantages and disadvantages between sole proprietorship, partnerships, and corporations. They also give pearls of wisdom regarding naming a business and obtaining business license.

Ever essential is the business plan which they discuss in great detail and confer great strategies as to how to weave through financial and marketing obstacles. In Virtual Assistant: The Series, Ennen and Poelker also explore the diverse specialty services which a VA may offer, how to determine rates, and establish a web presence on the Internet.

Lastly, they present the readers with a glimpse of a day in the life of a VA. For each section, there are testimonials from other VAs, giving their opinions on the topic at hand. They also provide many resources for the readers to further research questions they may have regarding training, opening a small business, daily operations, or finding a support group among peers and colleagues (many listed in the appendix).

The book is extremely well written, organized, and easy to follow. It offers an abundance of useful information and wealth of advice in a meaningful way.

Virtual Assistant, The Series: Become a Highly Successful, Sought After VA - This book is a guide in learning, creating and living as a Virtual Assistant.

The Virtual Assistant business on the Internet is becoming a large business. It is a way for people who want to stay at home and take care of their families to make money as if they were at an outside job. Thanks to this book I am now doing that and enjoying my life.

It is very easy to read and understand because it is so straightforward. The author knows her stuff and explains it in a way that makes sense to even someone like myself. The chapters are well organized and easy to follow. I knew absolutely nothing when I decided to do this. After this book I knew exactly what I needed to do to get my business up and running and how to set out on my new adventure.

Not only is the author well versed in her knowledge, but there are also helpful ideas from other Virtual Assistants, most of whom have made a very good living from doing this type of work. It covers all aspects of VA work by either the author or the other VA’s ideas.

So if you are even remotely interested in this type of work this book is a must have. You'll feel encouraged and ready to hit the road head on. I keep it on my desk and use it as a reference everyday. It's a must have for beginners and old hands alike.

A complete reference guide to starting a successful and profitable virtual assistant business. When they say "complete reference guide" they aren't kidding. This workbook/manual is what any woman needs to become a successful VA. The books spends a great deal of effort and knowledge outlining the details involved in starting your own VA business.

I was extremely impressed with the suggestions and the insightful observations presented from VA's already successful in their field.

Not only do Poeker and Ennen share their own experiences in the industry but they also share recommendations from the pros.

A great tool for VA's new or practiced.
